Pneumonia Is A Killer Disease But Least Talked About

The World Health Organization (WHO) notes that pneumonia accounts for 15 percent of all deaths of children under 5 years old, killing 808 694 children in 2017.

Pneumonia can be caused by viruses, bacteria, or fungi. However, it is the least talked-about illness among adults and children.

In Kenya, the discussion about pneumonia came to the surface when it was realized that the illness has a close resemblance to Covid-19 and that those with pneumonia were at a great risk of contracting the Covid-19 virus.

Experts say the best way to treat and conquer pneumonia is through having a strong and boosting one’s immune system. “Immune system is like soldiers who are always on the lookout for any enemy planning to attack or attacking your body.”

To help Kenyans boost their immunity and fight against such illnesses as pneumonia, global Chinese manufacturer Jiangyin Tianjiang Pharmaceutical Company limited launched herbal medicines to boost immunity, treat and manage viral pneumonia.

The Chinese company operates in Kenya under XRP Medical Kenya Limited and has Healthouself Formula 3 and Healthouself Formula 5 – combinations of herbal medicines that will be used to prevent and strengthen immunity and treatment for types of severe acute respiratory infections.

Healthouself Formula 3 retails at 2,500 shillings while Healthouself formula 5 retails at 4,400 shillings and are available at the XRP Medical Kenya site, online retail outlets – Jumia, and local pharmaceutical distributors. Both medicines do not require a prescription from a doctor.

Formula 3 is mainly used for prevention against flu, colds, and nosocomial infections while formula 5 is mainly used in the treatment of viral pneumonia, severe respiratory infections, and zoonotic infections. Kenyans now have an opportunity to go back to their roots; the herbal way.
