Super Petrol Prices Up By Ksh 8.19, Kerosene Up By Ksh 5.32

The price of Super Petrol has gone up by 8.19 shillings, Diesel by 5.521 shillings while that of Kerosene has been raised by 5.32 shillings on every liter in what EPRA attributed to the increase in average landed prices for the three products.

Kenyans who celebrated that the theoretic longest month of January was over and life would be easy will have to rethink after the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) raised the price of Diesel, Super Petrol, and Kerosene respectively.

The price of Super Petrol has gone up by 8.19 shillings, Diesel by 5.521 shillings while that of Kerosene has been raised by 5.32 shillings on every liter in what EPRA attributed to the increase in average landed prices for the three products.

The average landed price for Super Petrol increased by 20.93 percent from 323.52 dollars be a cubic meter in December 2020 to 391.24 dollars per cubic meter in January 2021. The landed price of Diesel rose by 13.64 percent while that of kerosene increased by 14.60 percent.

Motorists in Mombasa will pay 112.78 shillings for a liter of Super Petrol, 99.52 shillings for a liter of Diesel, and 90.05 shillings for a liter of Kerosene. Those in Nairobi will pay 115.18 shillings for a liter of Super Petrol, 101 for Diesel, and 92.44 shillings for Kerosene.

Those in Nakuru will part with 114.85 shillings for a liter of Super Petrol, 101.81 shillings for Diesel, and 92.36 shillings for Kerosene. Those in Eldoret will pay 115.77 for Super Petrol, 102.74 shillings for Diesel, and 93.29 shillings for Kerosene.

People from the Lakeside of Kisumu will pay 115.76 for Super Petrol, 102.73 shillings for Diesel, and 93.28 shillings for Kerosene. Kakamega will pay 115.81 shillings for Super Petrol, 102.78 for Diesel, and 93.33 shillings for Kerosene.
