17.1 Million Tuned In For Prince Harry And Meghan’s interview

Around 17.1 million people tuned in for Oprah Winfrey’s Sunday night interview with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle on CBS, according to the network, citing Nielsen data.

The two-hour sit-down, called “Oprah with Meghan and Harry: A CBS Primetime Special,” pulled in a 2.6 rating among adults 18-49. Those numbers are likely to increase as adjusted data from home viewing and delayed viewing comes in over the next day or so. Nielsen traditionally posts the official numbers for Sunday events late the following Tuesday.

This is the largest prime-time audience for any entertainment special during the 2020-2021 TV season and CBS’ second-most live-streamed event outside of the National Football League and Super Bowl Sunday.

Bitcoin tops $1 trillion

Bitcoin value surpassed $1 trillion on Tuesday as the price of the cryptocurrency jumped.

The digital coin’s price rose on Tuesday and its market capitalization went above $1 trillion in mid-morning trade Singapore time, according to CoinDesk.

Bitcoin extended those gains hitting a 24-hour high of $54,348.57 in early afternoon Singapore time, around 7% higher than the same time a day before. Bitcoin has since pared some of those gains.

It is only the second time that bitcoin’s value has surpassed a $1 trillion after hitting that milestone for the first time on Feb. 19. Bitcoin’s market capitalization held above $1 trillion for a few days, before falling below that mark.
