A study conducted in 2020 by a team from Maseno University shows that the majority of patients with chronic conditions use the pharmacy to purchase sex-enhancing drugs.

The study links to the recent spike of deaths among older men suspected to be on sex-enhancing pills. Cases of men dying during sex have been on the increase in recent months.

Several local studies have shown that many of the older men buying the blue pills have underlying medical conditions that may be messing up their sex lives.

Experts have warned that the sex-enhancing pills commonly known as the Blue pill could lead to severe side effects such as vision loss and heart failure. Some people however may get dizzy spells, headaches, prolonged erection, or even deaths.

The pills are said to have got 70 percent effectiveness for men who suffer from a condition known as erectile dysfunction, but now medics warn about the increase of the misuse of the drugs.

In a case in Kuria East, a 59-year-old man died after a woman turned him down and he was under the control of the pills and now the residents stated a campaign that “whenever you seed an old man with younger lady entering a lodging, call 999 because that’s a sign of suicide” the man is killing himself.
