Kenya being a 3rd world country is faced with high rates of poverty cases in which the only way to eradicate poverty is by fighting corruption.

Nearly half of Kenyans lack basic facilities, food, shelter, and clothing, a recent data shows that the countries living standards have risen significantly. Poverty however is majorly brought by unemployment and this is seen to affect youths in most cases.

Youths in  Kenya are the most affected individuals of poverty, in which lack of employment is the course of poverty in major cases according to different case studies.

The case of Moi University where it was discovered that there are students who are starving is worrying and sickening. The students raised issues on how they do not get any financial support apart from the HELB loans which often delays and also is not usually enough.

Most youths get discouraged and drop out of school because of the suffering they undergo in the name of poverty, in which after school they are seen to be tarmacking with their certificates looking for jobs which are not easy to secure.

Most of these youths end up in crime just to find a way of supporting themselves, now that some cannot depend on their parents or guardians due to unavoidable circumstances like they left home to build a home which means it’s worse than where they are.

However the government committed itself to try to reduce the numbers of unemployment as a way of eradicating poverty by creating job opportunities for the youths, it works though still, it has not worked at a high percentage since Kenya is still under corruption bondage, in which before getting a job corruption must be involved, this becomes a big challenge to those who do not have ways of corrupting and still remains in the curve of the poor.

The government officials in Kenya are rich but greedy, making citizens have no voice since they are under their authority and democracy is not yet established in the country.
