According to a statement from the ministry of education, the results will be released at Mitihani House on Dennis Pritt Road, Nairobi at 12.30 pm.

Education CS George Magoha is set to release the KCSE results today. The candidates who sat the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education in March and April will receive their results today.

According to a statement from the ministry of education, the results will be released at Mitihani House on Dennis Pritt Road, Nairobi at 12.30 pm.

Announcement of the results will pave the way for admission to universities, colleges, and technical institutions. KNEC data show that 752,933 candidates were registered to sit this year’s KCSE exam in 10,437 centers.

Last week, the marking of the exam ended with some examiners staging protests over their dues. The marking exercise was concluded on May 7, 2021, with Prof. Magoha thanking examiners and from the Education Ministry and Teachers Service Commission for “working tirelessly”.

“We experienced a number of cases where examination officials attempted to open the papers with the intention of exposing them to candidates before the actual examinations started. We thwarted these efforts in a few centers countrywide, some of which I released to you during my weekly briefs,” he said in an earlier press briefing at the Nairobi School.

He congratulated the 752,891 students who finally sat for their exams after months of uncertainty caused by the COVID-19 pandemic

On the issue of exam irregularities, CS Magoha said 27 officials were stripped of their responsibilities as center administrators, supervisors, or invigilators.

Examiners at Moi Girls and State House Girls protested unpaid allowances due at the end of the marking exercise. This drew the attention of a trade union.  Magoha had promised that the marking of the 2020 KCSE exam will be released by May 10.
