As a leading global provider of Information and Communications Technology (ICT), Huawei unveils its award-winning productivity tool for the smart office – IdeaHub.
The HUAWEI IdeaHub Tech Experience Zone, located at the base of Burj Khalifa, redefines a new style of collaboration and communication made possible by the IdeaHub, especially now as most people are working and learning from their homes as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
One of the key advantages of the IdeaHub is that it allows user connectivity using different devices and in different environments such as schools, hospitals, at home, and office spaces.
In addition, it has different functions such as – an interactive whiteboard, up to 4K video conferencing, and wireless projection – with the application of the latest intelligent collaboration tools and cloud technology.
The new and stylish Smart Office
HUAWEI IdeaHub is the ultimate productivity tool for an ideal smart office. It equally supports intelligent writing, High-Definition video conferencing, and wireless sharing. As the Red Dot Award 2020 winner for its simple user interface (UI) and design, IdeaHub is designed to suit any environment as it turns conference rooms, executive offices, and open areas into smart spaces.
Based on research conducted on thousands of enterprises, the HUAWEI IdeaHub offers an ultimate mix of intelligent collaborative technologies and simplicity in the work through the following three features:
Whiteboard
The whiteboard makes communication easier, especially in remote working scenarios. It also increases productivity levels in remote working scenarios where the lack of or reduced face-to-face interaction amongst team members are the main challenges faced in the communication process.
As easy as pen and paper – With 35ms ultra-low writing latency, enjoy a smooth, ultra-responsive writing experience. Innovative intelligent writing recognition automatically identifies words, figures, and flowcharts. It even has a calligraphy tool to identify your writing style. Actual application scenarios can entail signing contracts remotely to simplifying complex offline operations.
Cut, paste, edit, highlight – Enhance your meetings, identify key points and areas while penning them down, you can cut and paste words or highlight items such as sales targets or assign tasks to different teams.
For the record – With just a single tap, you can send whiteboard content from the hub to remote sites. Reverse control allows users to control the PC from HUAWEI IdeaHub. Users can also collaborate and annotate on the screen at any time from their devices. It is also possible to use handwriting recognition to directly input and record notes.
Video Conferencing
While tools for audio and video conferencing have been in existence for many years, they have often been regarded as inferior to face-to-face interactions. The IdeaHub is thus customized to seamlessly imitate face-to-face interactions through its video conferencing features.
Centre of attention – As every professional meeting should be, the speaker is always at the center. The IdeaHub auto-framing feature automatically adjusts the camera angle depending on the conference room and the number of participants.
Clarity – Video conferencing is conducted in crisp 1080p HD quality, with 4K content sharing. The flexible layout automatically switches between site views depending on who is speaking. It provides a smooth and natural experience every time.
Loud and clear sound – An array of 12 microphones use beamforming technology to pick up human voices over an 8-meter radius. Wider frequency for transfers ensure crystal clear, Hi-Fi audio remotely.
Cloud Connectivity
Cut the chords, go wireless – HUAWEI IdeaHub cuts through the clutter by using one external power cable. All required ports for wireless connectivity are concealed in the screen panel and allow screen-sharing and screen mirroring.
Cloud cover – IdeaHub supports HUAWEI Cloud Meeting and third-party cloud video conferencing services and platforms. The majority of open office utility services are available on the HUAWEI ecosystem accessed through the Huawei AppGallery. They simplify the complex process of cloud conferencing while delivering a better experience with 1080p-4K content sharing.
With HUAWEI IdeaHub, real-time remote communication is made simple, convenient, and natural. It eliminates the complicated and tedious mix in traditional communication.
The Huawei IdeaHub is now available in Kenya. To turn your conference rooms, executive offices, and open areas into smart spaces, visit https://e.huawei.com/za/products/cloud-communications/ideahub.
