KEY POINTS

TSC has transferred its services to an online platform in the line with current times. This is also in line with the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic where teachers have been advised to stick to online platforms as much as possible.

The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has made the application for a teacher transfer very easy. The application for transfer is now purely done online and there is no need of filling the manual transfer application form.

TSC has transferred their services to an online platform in the line with current times. This is also in line with the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic where teachers have been advised to stick to online platforms as much as possible. They are however allowed to be served at the TSC for extremely urgent matters.

Both the teacher and Head of Institution (principal or Head Teacher) play a key role in ensuring the transfer request is submitted successfully to TSC. It is the teacher who initiates the transfer process by making the application online

Once you make your transfer request, the Head of Institution will receive a notification and will be required to act on it immediately. If the Head does not give approval to the transfer request, then the whole process will stall at this level.

  • Go to the TSC website (www.tsc.go.ke) and click online services and select Teacher Transfer
  • Enter your details-TSC No, ID Number, Mobile No and click login
  • A six-digit authorization code will be sent through your mobile number
  • Enter the authorization code and click login
  • On successful login, the system is able to detect if you are either a primary or a post-primary teacher
  • Click ‘Submit a Request for Transfer’ to proceed
  • Enter all the details, and check the declaration box
  • After entering all the details and checking the declaration box, click ’OK’

The system will display your current station and the requested County

Click the “File Attachment(s)’ button to attach supporting document(s) in case the request for transfer is due to insecurity and/or medical grounds

You can also Edit, Withdraw or Print the transfer request

  • Click Browse to select the document to attach
  • Enter your Remarks
  • Check the dialogue box and Click Ok after attaching the document
