SportPesa Foundation Is Changing Lives Behind The Curtains

A brand is known by how much it invests in people. No business exists in a vacuum. People make up a business and a business serves the people. They say it is not how fast one arrives at the finishing line but how many people one helps to reach the finishing line.

SportPesa Foundation is doing some tremendous work in empowering societies as well as investing in search activities as talent development and sustenance as well as in the health sector through the donation of cash and equipment.

The Foundation has remained focused on supporting vulnerable communities in areas of sports and education.

“We saw so many requests to have SportPesa be involved in community activities. So, what we did was to look at what we could take care of,” says Capt. Ronald Karauri, the CEO of SportPesa.

Programs such as Kits For Africa were started with SportPesa together with its partners in Europe to help local teams have the real feel of sports in full sports kits.

Esther Kang’ethe, the SportPesa Foundation lead says that the Foundation has been doing a lot to empower sports and talents, as well as menstrual hygiene. “It is disheartening to see girls missing school because of not being able to access a sanitary towel.”

This year, SportPesa Foundation shifted its focus to supporting maternal healthcare through the donation of medical equipment to hospitals in various counties across the country.

“We feel honored when SportPesa thinks of extending a hand of kindness to us to be able to have good equipment to take care of our newborn babies,” says Catherin Munene, the CEO of Chogoria Hospital.
