The top gainer of the day at the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE) was Eveready East Africa with 4.81 percent at the price of 1.09 shillings per share

The top gainer of the day at the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE) was Eveready East Africa with 4.81 percent at the price of 1.09 shillings per share. Carbacid Investments was the second with 4.37 percent at the price of 11.95 shillings per share.

CIC Insurance Group, Kenya Power and Lighting (KPLC), and Crown Paint Kenya gained 2.05, 0.58, and 0.56 percent at the price of 2.00, 1.72, and 27.15 shillings per share respectively.

Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE) was the top loser of the day with 6.42 percent at the price of 9.04 shillings per share followed by Limuru Tea with a loss of 6.25 percent at the price of 300.00 shillings per share.

Olympia Capital, Eaagads, and Jubilee Insurance lost 6.00, 5.80, and 5.08 percent at the price of 1.88, 13.00, and 350.00 shillings per share respectively.

Safaricom PLC was the top mover of the day. The telecom moved 3.50 million with a market capitalization of 1.67 trillion shillings. East African Breweries moved 1.62 million with 136.01 billion shillings capitalization.

Kenya Power and Lighting Company moved 1.13 million while Co-operative Bank of Kenya and Equity Group moved 470,300, and 304,100 respectively.
