OPPO has launched the OPPO Reno6 5G in Kenya. With AI-enhanced video performance, Reno6 5G is an AI portrait expert equipped with a load of industry-leading features.
The smartphone also features OPPO’s Iconic Reno Glow design with ultra-slim retro design, powerful performance from the MediaTek Dimensity 900, and OPPO’s own intelligent ColorOS 11 to make Reno6 5G the best companion for the 5G era.
Reno6 5G features a 64MP AI Triple Camera setup on the back and a 32MP Selfie Camera on the front. Additionally, it has a dedicated color temperature sensor that captures colors more accurately.
Reno6 5G has a series of AI-enhanced portrait video functions:
- Bokeh Flare Portrait Video provides a pioneering cinematic quality bokeh effect for smartphone video. Powered by OPPO’s over-10-million portrait datasets and AI algorithms, Bokeh Flare Portrait Video delivers real-time video processing to capture portrait videos with bokeh light spots on the background, all while keeping the portrait subjects appearing natural and bright. Available on both the front and rear cameras, this dream-like bokeh lighting effect can be applied to your portrait videos with just one click.
- AI Highlight Video can automatically detect ambient light and make video optimizations accordingly. Whether you are shooting at night, or with strong backlight in the day, AI Highlight Video helps you to capture clearer, brighter, and more vividly colored portrait videos.
- Portrait Beautification Video on Reno6 5G can perform subtle and natural edits for portrait videos to improve appearances. With state-of-the-art AI algorithms, it can remove one’s unwanted skin blemishes while retaining natural features to highlight individuality. With the ability to recognize up to 193 different facial points in video mode, Reno6 5G allows users to apply beauty effects with better precision, personalization, and authenticity.
- Focus Tracking is also introduced on Reno6 5G, enabling enhanced video auto-focusing by identifying and automatically tracking main subjects consistently and steadily.
Reno6 5G is also equipped with many photo-enhancing functions. With OPPO’s exclusive Image Clear Engine and Color temperature sensor, Flash Snapshot enables users to capture clearer shots of moving subjects or take quick-capture photos. Having perfectly shot each photo, Reno6 5G also provides creative post-production tools like AI Palette, which can turn your images into the style of those popular online with one click.
Powerful Performance for a Better User Experience
Reno6 5G is the first phone on the market to feature MediaTek’s latest 5G-integrated SoC, the Dimensity 900, built on a 6nm processor.
Reno6 5G also offers users 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage as well as OPPO’s self-developed RAM Expansion technology. This means the original 8GB of RAM can be supplemented with an additional 2GB/3GB/5GB of ROM storage memory if RAM space runs out. Additionally, with a large 4,300 mAh battery and 65W SuperVOOC 2.0, Reno6 5G can be 100% charged in 28 minutes and enables all-day usage even with a very low battery[1]. Ultimately, Reno6 5G delivers speedy performance with balanced power consumption.
Stunning & Ultra Slim Design Featuring the One-and-only OPPO Reno Glow
Continuing with the iconic design of the Reno series, Reno6 5G introduced a stylish ultra-slim retro design with a thickness of 7.59mm and weighing only 182g.[2] Featuring the one-and-only OPPO Reno Glow, the phone comes in two new colors: Aurora and Stellar Black.
“The design of OPPO’s Reno series is a reflection of style and taste. Reno6 5G comes with a unique color – Aurora, in addition to the ever-popular black. The newly upgraded Reno glow gives the phone a fresh new look and energetic shine when viewed from different angles. The Reno6 5G not only looks great but also has a comfortable grip with an ultra-slim and light body” Muthoni Wachira, Head of Projects and PR OPPO Kenya.
On the front of Reno6 5G the 6.4-inch AMOLED screen with 90Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate delivers a more vivid and smooth viewing experience. Paired with this display is 360-degree Light-Sensing enabled by two sensors, which improve the accuracy of auto-brightness adjustments, making the viewing experience more comfortable no matter where you are. The screen is also SGS Eye Care Display Certificated as a “low-blue light screen” helping to reduce eye strain[3]. Moreover, Reno6 5G also comes with Netflix HD and Amazon Prime Video HD Certification, allowing users to experience streaming content in even greater detail.
In addition to the superior portrait video functionality, stunning design, and outstanding performance, Reno6 5G runs on ColorOS 11.
