From 2010 onwards, another grand scheme took over the advertisement sector. Everything became sexualized, it became normal to see a good product being advertised but you see more of a woman's thigh and less of the product.

A certain advert was aired on Kenyan TV in the early 2000s. The Ad displayed malnourished youth who, after smoking a certain brand of cigarette and drinking alcohol, he became strong and attractive. Ladies followed him and he was someone everyone loved to be around.

The said advert had a huge effect on University students of that time, especially those who had come from rural areas and it was their first time in Nairobi. Nearly every youth believed that it was time to try smoking. The youth sheepishly believed that for them to successfully woo ladies, they had to smoke cigarettes and drink alcohol like their colleague in the advert.

The net effect of this controversial advert was a whole generation of University students were deeply thrust into the jaws of cigarette smoking and careless alcoholism. Some recovered and others are still battling the addiction to date in 2021.

From 2010 onwards, another grand scheme took over the advertisement sector. Everything became sexualized, it became normal to see a good product being advertised but you see more of a woman’s thigh and less of the product. Songs were not songs until they had lyrics on sex.

Nowadays, you cannot sit comfortably with your parents while watching an advert on TV because you might watch soft porn. The net effect is a morally decayed generation. Ladies grow up knowing that they are sex symbols while boys grow up knowing to become a man, they must have a huge body count.

Do virgins still exist? And why would you expect to marry a virgin when you have already disciplined all the girls in your village? A young man without several ladies after him is seen as inferior to his mates. Sex is the order of the day. Relationships are more of sex sessions and less of connections. Movies and songs can’t hit without having a controversial scene.

An army of single mothers, dead bit dads, abortions, heartbreaks, and morally degraded youths are the results of the Grand Deception. Now a new type of deception has crept in. This one is encouraging same-sex relationships and packaging them in a very appealing way. It is glorified and sanitized. Sooner or later it will blow out of proportion and the results will be there for all to see. SHAME!
