My Relationship With DP Ruto Deteriorated After Waiguru’s Entry, Ngirici

KEY POINTS
Ngirici revealed that her relationship with Ruto is no longer the way it used to be before Waiguru’s entry and that she is currently contemplating her next move in regards to UDA politics.
Governor Ann Mumbi Waiguru’s defection into the United Democratic Party (UDA) has practically deteriorated the relationship between the Chief Hustler, DP William Ruto and Kirinyaga Outspoken Women, Purity Ngirici.
Waiguru officially joined UDA on October 26 and pledged her full allegiance and support to William Ruto.
Waiguru and Ngirici and both eying the Gubernatorial seal in Kirinyaga County come 2022. The incumbent, Waiguru, has appeared to be desperately seeking her re-election, to the extent of even defecting to UDA, perhaps to cripple her major opponent Purity Ngirici.
Though the move came too early, it seems to be working. However, we do not know what Ngirici is up to ever since she decided to take a break from the limelight.
“I popularized UDA in Kirinyaga County. I convinced my people that UDA was the political outfit to join, and that Ruto was the man best suited to take over from President Uhuru Kenyatta in 2022. During that time, Wiguru was on the other side opposing Ruto. When her mission failed, she crossed over,” Ngirici lamented.

The mess does not just end there, even the other UDA allied MP’s and other associated seem to be more comfortable with Waiguru than Ngirici.
They are seen taking pictures and having nice moments with Waiguru from time to time in major events hosted by DP William Ruto, while Ngirici has always been conspicuously absent.
On November 24, Ngirici noted that the entry of Waiguru into the UDA camp has forced her to take a step back from active politics involving the hustler movement.
Ngirici revealed that her relationship with Ruto is no longer the way it used to be before Waiguru’s entry and that she is currently contemplating her next move in regards to UDA politics.
Recently, Ngirici has been skipping Major events and rallies attended by Ruto. She even skipped Ruto’s rallies in Embu, Tharaka Nithi, Murang’a, and Kericho.
“I’m however confident that my supporters will follow me, regardless of the pedestal I’d be standing on,” Ngirici stated
“Politics is akin to the game of chess- you must study it well as your next decision will determine whether you win or lose. I have now retreated to carefully study my options before I make my next political move.” She added.
What next for Ngirici? Time will tell.
