Uber Eats Appoints New Country General Manager

Uber Eats Kenya has appointed Wangui (Kui) Mbugua as the new General Manager for its Kenyan business. Kou joined Uber in 2019 as strategy and planning lead for Uber Eats SSA. She has an undergraduate degree in Law and a Master’s degree in International Business and Commercial Law.

“I’m excited to take on this new role as I have seen the rapid growth of food delivery in Kenya and the growth that the business brings to the digital economy. The impact of convenience and on-demand commerce on the market is evident,” she said.

According to Nakampe Molewa General Manager of Uber Eats Sub-Saharan Africa, Kui has been an advantage to their industry and they are thrilled about her new leadership position and looking forward to seeing her help their business blossom.

“Kui has been an asset to the team since her arrival and website that helps bring millions of people around her new leadership role. We are looking forward to seeing how the business will flourish under her leadership,” said Mr. Nakampe.

Kui’s appointment is set to drive the Uber Eats Kenya business on an even higher growth trajectory.
