Meanwhile, Police officers who got wind of the incident from concerned neighbors immediately swung into action and arrested the perpetrator at a nearby farm. He was arraigned at the Makindu Law courts to answer to charges of attempted defilement, contrary to section 9 (1) and (2) of the Sexual Offences Act.

Sexual defilement is an offense that should be condemned to the fullest. Most victims of sexual defilement end up suffering from long-term mental health and psychological torture, which is are difficult for someone to handle. It is in this regard that Kenyans are encouraged to exercise sexual discipline and report any incidences of defilement to the authorities so that the law can take its course.

Young children should be protected from any form of harm. They should not be made to go through weird situations that might negatively impact on their social being for a lifetime.

Whether the defilement is perpetrated by relatives or anyone else, we are urged to come out strongly and allow justice to prevail. Let the criminals face justice in the court of law so that it becomes a lesson to anyone else out there with similar fishy motives towards young girls.
