ACL Develops A Guide To Help Kenyans Set Up Businesses

KEY TAKEAWAYS
“We believe in continuous improvement through the employment of new and better ideas within a learning culture that creates and shares best practices,” said the company in their latest release.
The Kenyan economy thrives on the wheels of Small Medium Enterprises (SMEs). Statistics from the Kenya National Statistics (KNBS) show that the SME sector employs at least 86 percent of the Kenyan population and contributes about 45.5 percent to the country’s gross domestic product.
However, despite the importance of the sector to the economy, stats show that at least 450,000 SMEs shut down in Kenya each year. This means that at least 30,000 of them are shutting down each month and at least 1,000 of them die daily.
Some of the factors that have been cited as major contributors to the collapse of many SMEs include poor management, inability to manage and account for funds including bookkeeping and accounting, and inadequate access to credit among others.
It is on the premise of helping businesses grow and helping people set up businesses that Asis Company Limited (ACL) was formed. The company is a Business Development Services (BDS) Consultancy Company based in Nairobi, Kenya.
“We believe in continuous improvement through the employment of new and better ideas within a learning culture that creates and shares best practices,” said the company in their latest release.
The company has become the first to develop a “Business Start-Up & Resource Mobilization Guide” which is a practical guide to the business start-up process and also an open Diary (I.e. one records their daily activities which are all geared towards the setting up and also running the new business), meaning one can start the business at any time.
The guide goes for 500 shillings for a soft copy and 1,250 shillings for a hardcopy; both are available for purchase from their website: www.asiscapital.co.ke
