Educations Cabinet Secretary, George Magoha, released the 2021/2022 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination results on Saturday, April 23.

The national KCSE 2021/2022 examination started on 28th February 2022 with practical’s subjects and came to an end on 1st April 2022 with Physics practicals with 831,015 students examined in the months of March and April.

Candidates, their parents, and guardians can access the results through the Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) website, SMS platforms, county education offices, and the respective schools.

For the SMS option, the candidates should send their index number, followed by the initials KCSE (in capital letters) to 20076 in order to access the results.

The system would be accessible at the end of the official release of the results. The SMS platform is available for all mobile networks and will be charged 25 shillings each.

Students are also advised not to have space between the index number and the initials KCSE. Due to the urgency and high demand for the results, Magoha advises that the platform may experience delays and asked the students to be patient.

  1. Visit the Official KNEC website (knec.ac.ke)
  2. Check for the KCSE Results tab, click on it
  3. Select the year you sat for the Exams
  4. Enter your Index number.
  5. Finally, click the Submit button.
  6. Your KCSE results should show on the screen after a while.

Candidates should visit their examination centers for their official results slips. The ministry of education advises parents teachers and pupils to check the KCSE results and KCSE result slip for any anomaly such as incorrect candidate’s name, school name, and code as well as wrong subject grade and report to KNEC within a month after the KCSE results announcement.
