Here Is How To Apply For University, College Admission Through KUCCPS

The online application portal for the 2021 KCSE candidates to apply for institutions of higher learning was officially opened on Friday by the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central and Placement Service (KUCCPS).

As earlier announced during the release of the results, students who scored a C+ and above will be able to secure a chance in different universities across the country.

Meanwhile, to ensure the 100 percent transition at the tertiary levels, those who scored a C (plain), and below will secure a chance in TVET institutions.

Here is The Procedure For Application

1. Log in to the student’s portal using your Index Number and KCSE Year. Use your Birth Certificate as the password.
2. Click on the Programs tab to view the available courses and their requirements. You can search for courses by institutions using the institution’s tab.
3. Move the courses that interest you to the Course basket to simply your work when preparing a final list of courses, you will choose.
4. After settling on your preferred courses, enter the Program Codes using the Application/Revision tab.
5. After confirming the codes entered against the courses, submit and follow the application fee payment instructions. Students applying for the first time pay 1,500 shillings while those revising pay 1,000 shillings.
6. Ensure you pay the placement processing fee after selecting courses.

How to Pay the Processing Fee Via M-Pesa

1. Go to Lipa Na M-Pesa menu
2. Select Pay Bill
3. Enter business Number 820211
4. Enter your KCSE Year and Index Number (no space), as the account number
5. Enter M-Pesa Pin and Send.
