Kenya Power Now Has A New Acting MD

BY Juma · May 18, 2022 11:05 am

Kenya Power and Lighting Company has appointed Geoffrey Waswa Muli as acting managing director, replacing Rosemary Oduor who has acted in that capacity since August, last year. Rosemary has been sent on leave in yet another shakeup at KPLC.

Waswa will take over from Oduor who has proceeded on annual leave. “The appointment of Geoffrey Waswa Muli as acting MD takes effect on May 17,” Kenya Power’s statement reads in part.

KPLC is yet to appoint a substantive MD since the resignation of Barnard Ngugi in unclear circumstances. The power distributor has been going through a management crisis for almost a year coupled with massive corruption scandals forcing President Uhuru Kenyatta to step in.
