TSC List Of Transferred Principals With Their Respective Station In The Latest Changes

The Teacher Service Commission, TSC, has reshuffled the leadership of the following secondary school principals in Murang’a County in its latest announcement.

Garrison Mwangi, who was the principal of Kiaguthu Boys in Murang’a county has been moved to Njiiri High to replace Kamau Chomba, who leaves to head Alliance High School in Kiambu whose principal has retired.

Mr. Mwangi, who has been in Kiaguthu Boys High School since 2016, had taken over after Wilson Kamunyu, who was transferred to Ndururumo High School in Nyahururu.

On his departure, from Kiaguthu Boys, Mwangi handed the institution leadership to Kagema Kibue from Karega mixed secondary day school in Kiguno. Stephen Mburu, a former teacher at St Mary Lioki in Kiambu was promoted by TSC to replace Mr. Kagema.

Speaking yesterday, Mwangi said he had worked with the stakeholders to improve the school’s performance leading to a high number of students qualifying for university admission in the last six years.

“I have worked with several institutions and all geared towards better returns at the national level,” said Mwangi on the day he started his tour of duty at Njiiri.

Kagema said he was delighted to be at Kiaguthu High where he promised to work with all stakeholders to improve performance. “The issue is to work hand in hand with stakeholders for the interest of the students,” said Kagema.

Now despite the commission’s multiple efforts to alleviate teacher shortages, TSC Boss Dr. Nancy Macharia noted in a circular to all TSC regional directors that the situation is exacerbated by irregular teacher distribution.

The delocalization process for school heads began in early 2018 and has resulted in headteachers and principals of primary and secondary schools being moved from schools in their homes, counties, and regions.

Its targeted teachers who completed at least ten years in the same county. This process will trickle down to deputy and senior teachers and finally teachers.
