The Teachers Service Commission, TSC, failed to advertise the deployment of practising P1 teachers wishing to be promoted to Junior Secondary school as it has done in the past few recruitments.

This is even as TSC is set to recruit 14,000 teachers by July 7^th 2022. In its advert early this week, TSC wants qualified teachers to apply for the post in primary and secondary schools and Teachers Training Colleges.

TSC has also declared 8,000 vacancies to replace teachers who exited service through natural attrition and 844 teaching jobs in the North Eastern region. The teachers recruited will serve on permanent and pensionable terms of services.

However, practising P1 teachers with a degree in secondary options have not been captured in this recruitment because TSC has yet to complete advertising more recruitment and promotional vacancies.

P1 teachers have been advised not to panic because the vacancies will be advertised, and the teachers will be able to apply online. Additionally, TSC will advertise 6,000 internship vacancies in the last quarter of 2022.

According to TSC, they plan to promote teachers to various grades through the following advert. These include administrative positions like a senior teacher, senior master, deputy head teacher, deputy principal, principal, headteachers and more.

TSC usually advertise 1,000 deployment vacancies for P1 teachers to apply yearly since 2019. This is a form of promotion for disgruntle primary school teachers who have acquired higher academic certificates.
