KMTC Minimum Entry Requirements for All the Courses-2022

Students joining Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) to pursue a certificate course will now be required to have a minimum grade of C –, while those pursuing a diploma course will be required to have a minimum grade of C plain in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE).

At the same time, they will be required to present specific qualifications in cluster subjects in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE), such as English, Kiswahili, Biology, Biological Sciences, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, and Physical Sciences.

Those pursuing a certificate course will be trained for a duration of 2 years with the exception of nursing which takes 2 ½ years. On the other hand, diploma students will have to undergo a training of 3 years except for Community Health Nursing which takes 3 ½ years.

All the students enrolling in Higher Diploma programs will be required to have attained a Diploma course in relevant fields and at least a minimum of two years of working experience. The duration of training is 1 year.

Those enrolling in the Kenya Medical Training college short courses will be required to make a written request for arrangements to be made. This applies to individuals and groups such as corporate bodies, companies, and government ministries.
