We put out a question to ask Kenyans to give us a list of Cabinet Secretaries that they think have not done well during the second term of President Uhuru Kenyatta who is expected to retire in two weeks’ time. And the verdict is out.
Amina Mohammed, the Cabinet Secretary for Sports topped the list by Kenyans as a CS who has performed dismally as a CS. They pointed out Kenya’s ban by FIFA and the recent saga of our athletes (with Ferdinand Omanyala) among other incidences.
Surprisingly, Professor George Magokha came in second as the most-mentioned as CS who has performed dismally. Many termed him arrogant and incentive. On Tuesday, there were calls online to have Uhuru Kenyatta fire him for disrespecting women. They have also blamed Magoha for the way he handled the CBC transition.
Mutahi Kagwe’s name also popped up. He is the CS for Health. The way he handled the Covid-19 pandemic and the massive corruption allegations that rocked the period tainted his name and daily speeches.
James Macharia has been termed as a silent CS who is not bothered about the common man. He has never issued a statement whenever Kenyans lose lives en masse in road accidents.

Raila Odinga, the Presidential Candidate for Azimio, has always said he will retail some Cabinet Secretaries who are currently serving under Uhuru Kenyatta. He has named Peter Munya, Joe Mucheru and Fred Matiang’i. Most Kenyans have been against this.
As Uhuru Kenyatta plans to retire, who among his CSs has done a pathetic work? Like nothing. List them as we go!
