TSC Announces Deadline For July Advertised Vacancies for Teachers

The Teachers Service Commission, TSC, will close its online application portal for thousands of jobs it advertised in July. TSC gave teacher candidates until July 7 2022, to apply for the jobs online through their link because there will be no manual processes.

According to Dr Nancy Macharia, the shortlisted candidates, interview dates, and venues will be published on the TSC website by July 15 2022. They will be then expected to present an academic and professional certificate during the interview.

She added that merit lists generated during the recruitment exercise will be used in the subsequent recruitment process within the financial year.

TSC states that from Wednesday, July 13, to Friday, July 15, 2022, it will post all of the lists of the candidates who have been shortlisted online. TSC advertisement indicates that the Commission seeks to recruit a total of 14,460 primary and secondary school teachers as well as Teacher Training College (TTC) tutors by July.

Applicants for secondary school jobs must have a diploma in education, while those targeting TTC need a Bachelor of Education Degree. The employment of the new teachers will still leave many jobless and schools not adequately staffed

Secondary schools are worst hit as they need over 60,000 teachers, while there is a shortage of close to 50,000 teachers in primary schools. TSC blame the shortage on mushrooming of schools and the challenges of implementing the 100 percent transition policy.

How to apply for advertised TSC Vacancies

Applications for the advertised vacancies are made purely online. In filling the advertised teaching vacancies, the Commission invites qualified teachers to submit their applications online ausing the recruitment portal https://hrmis.tsc.go.ke/app/login

TSC does not accept hard copy applications, so you must carefully submit your application online. Some teachers have failed to make it to the TSC shortlisting of applicants because they failed to submit their applications as required.
