Uhuru Makes 50 New Appointments A Month Before Leaving Office

President Uhuru Kenyatta has made 50 new appointments 30 days to the end of his term as President of the Republic of Kenya.

In the new appointments, the President appointed Professor Julius Nyabundi as the new Kenya National Examinations Council chairperson for a period of four years, taking over from John Onsati.

At the same time, Eric Mungai is now the new chairperson of the National Environmental Management Authority (NEMA) for a period of three years. He takes over from Dr. Lul Abdiwahid who has been the acting chairperson.

The President also appointed Anthony Lan Njoroge Muturi as the chairperson of the New Kenya Co-operative Creameries Limited for a three-year term replacing Dr. Iganitus Kahiu.

Mohammed Amin Sheikh will be the new chairperson of the Insurance Regulatory Authority for a period of three years taking over from Abdirahin Haithar Abdi.
