Form 34As Were First Sent To UDA Before IEBC – John Githongo

Azimio Presidential Candidate Raila Amollo Odinga filed a case at the Supreme Court challenging the announcement of Kenya Kwanza Presidential Candidate William Samoei Ruto as the President of Kenya by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission.

The petition at the Supreme Court is among eight others that have been filed by different organizations and individuals, including the Kenya Civil Societies challenging the announcement of William Ruto as the President-elect of Kenya.

A more damning affidavit has also been deposited at the Supreme Court by Journalist and Anti-corruption Crusader John Githongo claiming that Form 34As, which were crucial for the announcement of the results were first sent to the UDA tallying center, and manipulated before being uploaded into the IEBC portal.

John Githongo claims that the KIEMS kits that were relaying the results were manipulated and tailored such that the Form 34As had to first pass through UDA, William Ruto’s party, a claim that might flip this election with marination of drama and shock.

John Githongo quotes a whistleblower who says he was part of a team of 56 people known as “The Team” whose work was to alter the Form 34As before sending them to the IEBC portal. UDA is said to have had a command center that received the forms.

Form 34As are those forms that came directly from the polling stations. They were in the line with the Maina Kiai ruling that stated that the votes counted at the polling station were final. This means the Supreme Court will have to order a recount of the original Form 34As.

In another twist, the Senator-elect for Busia Count Okiya Omtatah has filed a petition in the same Supreme Court claiming that none of the Presidential candidates got 50% plus 1 vote.
