“They (students) can be asked to play games and stay in their hostels,” he stated. CS Magoha also reiterated that the schools will resume on Thursday 18, 2022."
“I respect everybody. The way you see me, the courage that I have comes from God and Starehe Boys Centre. We are eagles and we fly high and we are not afraid,” he added.
Education CS George Magoha has apologized to Kenyans he offended during his tenure in office.
Speaking during a press conference after commissioning phase 2 Competency Based Curriculum (CBC) classrooms in Embakasi, Magoha stated that the results of his work speak for themselves.
Magoha has also assured parents that the government will not disrupt the school calendar anymore after postponing the resumption date.
On Wednesday, August 17, CS Magoha noted that a petition will be filed to challenge the presidential results and the Supreme Court may order a repeat election
Despite schools being used as polling stations, the ministry would rather keep students in school than send them home since voting is a day’s exercise.
“They (students) can be asked to play games and stay in their hostels,” he stated. CS Magoha also reiterated that the schools will resume on Thursday 18, 2022
While stating that he is a courageous man whose rise to the ministerial position was by God’s grace, Magoha said that he is not perfect.
“There is no one who is perfect and I believe that for me to serve here it was by the grace of God,” he said
“I respect everybody. The way you see me, the courage that I have comes from God and Starehe Boys Centre. We are eagles and we fly high and we are not afraid,” he added.
The CS is known for being brass and stern in his pronouncements and one not backing down on his stance when issuing directives.
Some of his actions have, however, come off a bit too forceful and rubbed some individuals the wrong way. Magoha, however, attributed this to the nature of his work which demands that he implements government policies without fail.
“As President’s handymen, expect us to go with him, but we want to assure the public that we have taken all the arrows and the stones and forgotten about it because of our children.”
