KEY POINTS

Wake up every morning with rejuvenated energy. Wake up knowing that you were born a winner and that the knowledge you have is enough to make you pass the exams and win in your own special way. Success is what you give to get the best.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

Just believe in yourself. Even if you don’t, pretend that you do and, at some point, you will. As you study, believe in yourself and all that you are. Know that there is something inside you that is greater than any obstacle.

The Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) has kicked off across the country. The three-day exam will come to an end on Wednesday. For the first time, Grade 6 kids are also sitting for their national examination under the Competency-based Curriculum (CBC).

During exams such as KCPE, much is often expected of the candidates with pressures from both parents and teachers weighing hard on them. But we would like to encourage them and wish them the best of luck as they shape their future.

Dear candidates, as you continue with your national examinations, know that the future awaits. Know that exams come and go but your future will be shaped and determined by you and what you perceive. Do your best with what you have with success being your goal.

Success doesn’t always come in big portions. It comes in small portions every day. For us to make big portions out of it, we need to gather the small portions and turn them into big ones. Trust in what your teachers taught you and go for it. The future is yours.

Know that in life, there are challenges. Sometimes we fall and sometimes we rise. What defines success is not how many times we fall, but how many times we manage to rise every time we fall. When we fall, it does not mean that that is the end of the journey.

Wake up every morning with rejuvenated energy. Wake up knowing that you were born a winner and that the knowledge you have is enough to make you pass the exams and win in your own special way. Success is what you give to get the best.

Just believe in yourself. Even if you don’t, pretend that you do and, at some point, you will. As you study, believe in yourself and all that you are. Know that there is something inside you that is greater than any obstacle.
