The 2022 national tests were administered between February 28 and April 1, 2022. KNEC administered the KCSE exam to some 884,263 learners who sat the tests last year. Out of this, 420,845 were female while 405,962 were male.
The marking of the 2022 KCSE examinations started on 2nd January 2023 and was scheduled to end before 20th January to allow the results to be released early
Candidates, their parents, and guardians can access the results through the Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) website, SMS platforms, county education offices, and the respective schools
For the SMS option, the candidates should send their index number, followed by the initials KCSE (in capital letters) to 20076 in order to access the results.
The system would be accessible at the end of the official release of the results. The SMS platform is available for all mobile networks and will be charged 25 shillings each
Students are also advised not to have space between the index number and the initials KCSE. Due to the urgency and high demand for the results, education CS Ezekiel Mochagu advises that the platform may experience delays and asked the students to be patient.
