The Education CS affirmed that the reporting period for the KCPE candidates would be from February 6, 2023, to February 13, 2023.
Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu has launched form one selection exercise at the Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development, KICD, Nairobi on Monday, January 16.
CS Machogu has released a list of National schools that are most preferred by 2022 KCPE candidates. Speaking during the release of form one selection results, the CS noted that Kabianga High School, Nakuru high school, Nanyuki high school, and Alliance Girls School are among the top.
He, however, pointed out that the placement exercise indicated that most candidates were not adequately guided by their respective principals and teachers
“During the selection process, it became clear that a large number of candidates did not receive proper guidance when choosing a school. These resulted in some schools getting far many applicants against their capacity. No one will be able to go beyond the capacity,” he stated.
There are schools where we get so many applicants yet the capacity is few hence it is not possible for all candidates to be placed in their dream schools,” he added.
The Education CS affirmed that the reporting period for the KCPE candidates would be from February 6, 2023, to February 13, 2023.
All top candidates who scored between 400 marks and above have been called to join national schools
Candidates were advised to access the Form One placement via text or website. The candidates can send a message in the format (Index No) to 22263. The service attracts charges depending on the mobile service provider.
