Equities Up 1.42% To Hit Ksh 99.28 Million

On Tuesday, Equities turnover rose marginally by 1.42 percent to 99.28 million shillings up from 97.89 million shillings the previous trading day.

At the same time, foreign investors remained largely out of the market on the day. They accounted for 27.17 percent of the total market turnover.

A report generated by Genghis Capital showed that foreign investors remained bearish in the day to print net outflows of 31.87 million shillings in the day.

Just as since Monday, Safaricom Plc was the most traded counter on the day – accounting for 37.03 percent of the total market activity. The stock’s turnover came in at 36.76 million shillings – with net outflows amounting to 23.81 million shillings.

Fixed Income

During the trading day on Tuesday, Fixed Income turnover jumped by 84.62 percent to 3.22 billion shillings up from 1.75 billion shillings the previous trading day.

The FXD bond segment was the most traded segment of the day. It accounted for 59 percent of trades above 50 million shillings. IFB1/2022/014 was the most traded paper of the day.
