Turnover Dips 83% As Locals Dominate The Markets

Total turnover declined by 83.29 percent to 44.72 million shillings on Monday down from 267.67 million shillings the previous trading day.

Local investors were the dominant market players on the day – accounting for 82.20 percent of the total market turnover. Foreign investors printed net outflows of 4.38 million shillings in the day.

KCB Group was the most traded counter on the day – accounting for 21.01 percent of the total market activity. The stock’s turnover came in at 9.39 million shillings – with net inflows amounting to 1.89 million shillings.

Fixed Income

Turnover dropped by 55.74 percent to 853 million shillings down from 1.93 billion shillings the previous trading day. The IFB bond segment was the most traded segment of the day. It accounted for c. 73 percent of trades above 50 million shillings. IFB1/2022/014 was the most traded paper of the day.
