The National Social Security Fund (NSSF) has made it easy for members to conveniently make their monthly contributions without using cheques or having to visit either the bank or NSSF branch.

Making contributions to NSSF after registrations is the easiest thing you can ever imagine. Of course, the registration too is paperless.

You can register within 60 seconds by dialing *303# and by following the prompts. After registration, all contributions can be made via M-Pesa.

Here is the M-Pesa process:

  • Open your M-Pesa and go to Lipa na M-Pesa
  • Select the Paybill Option
  • Enter Paybill Number 333300
  • Input the amount you want to contribute
  • Put in your M-Pesa PIN and press OK.

It is that easy. It only takes you a few seconds to make the payments. Through the same short code, *303#, you can check your balance, monitor your contributions, get statements, and also make inquiries.

At the same time, remittance of contributions to NSSF can be done through; cash option, EFT and RTGS, and M-Pesa. First, one must generate a Unique Payment Number (UPN)/Payment Order (E-Slip) from the NSSF e-Service portal by clicking HERE.

For the bank option, the payment can be done at three commercial banks; KCB Bank, Co-operative Bank, and the National Bank. The bank accounts are; KCB (1103265954 or 1107110270), Co-op Bank (0113620175000), and the National Bank (0100300283701).

For Cash Option: Present the E-Slip and the corresponding cash to KCB Bank for processing after which a receipt will be available at the NSSF e-Service portal. For self-sponsored/voluntary members, remit the cash to the KCB Bank together with your NSSF membership number.

For EFT and RTGS payment options, the reference filed in the form MUST be filled with the Unique Payment Number quoted on the E-slip. Upon executing the transaction successfully, the employer shall download a receipt from the e-Service portal in real-time.
