KUCCPS Opens Portal For Application Of KMTC Courses, How To Apply

The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has announced that it has opened its portal for the application of KMTC courses and students seeking to join can now apply.
The KUCCPS portal opened on July 21. According to the statement released on Saturday, KUCCPS CEO Mercy Wahome said the KUCCPS portal has 30 Kenya Medical Training programs available for application.
With the entry of KMTC into the KUCCPS fold, the placement service now places students in degree, diploma, certificate, and artisan courses in 289 public training institutions and 30 private universities in Kenya.

Programs at diploma and certificate levels include community health nursing, mental health and psychiatry, midwifery, radiography and imaging, medical laboratory sciences, occupational therapy, optometry, pharmacy, physiotherapy, and public health among others.
“The programs which are at diploma and certificate levels, include community health nursing, mental health and psychiatry, midwifery, radiography and imaging, medical laboratory sciences, occupational therapy, optometry, pharmacy, physiotherapy, and public health, among others,” Wahome said.
“This is a milestone because KMTC and KUCCPS have a common objective of enhancing access to quality higher education and training opportunities in a manner that is equitable to all Kenyans,” Wahome said in a statement.

She added that the application targets individuals who completed the KCSE examination from the year 2013 to 2022 and the deadline for the applications will be on August 4, 2023.
According to Wahome, providing KMTC courses on the KUCCPS platform will ensure equity, fairness, and balanced access to training opportunities. The KUCCPS portal has also integrated a database of the KCSE examination results of all the potential applicants hence, does not require applicants to provide their results.
“Interested applicants can access the list of all the available programs in the 83 KMTC campuses countrywide, including the minimum subject requirements, in the KUCCPS Student’s Portal, students.kuccps.net,” she said.

Wahome said that providing the KMTC courses on the KUCCPS platform will ensure equity, fairness, and balanced access to the training opportunities. Interested candidates must submit their applications before the deadline on August 4.
How to apply for KMTC courses through KUCCPS
To apply for KMTC diploma and certificate programs through the KUCCPS portal, follow the procedure below.
- Visit the KUCCPS student portal.
- Click the “KMTC Programmes” menu
- Select the course you wish to study and ensure that you meet its cut-off points, entry, and subject requirements
- After choosing the desired course, add it to your basket.
- Pay via Mpesa and submit your application
