Equities Turnover Shed Off 72.1% To Hit Ksh 41.2 Million

Turnover decreased by 72.1% to KES 41.2Mn down from KES 147.8Mn the previous trading day. Local investors were the dominant players on the day. They accounted for 68.9% of the total market turnover.
Foreign investors remained bearish on key blue chips to print net outflows of KES 14.21Mn in the day.

Safaricom was the most traded counter on the day – accounting for 25.8% of the total market activity. The stock’s turnover came in at KES 10.6Mn – with notable net outflows amounting to KES 6.2Mn
Turnover decreased by 22.3% to KES 4.05Bn down from KES 5.21Bn the previous trading day.
The IFB segment was the highest-grossing segment of the day – accounting for 90.4% of trades above KES 50Mn.
IFB1/2023/6.5 remained the most frequently traded paper of the day.
