CBK Releases New List Of Licensed Digital Mobile Loan Apps

On Wednesday, March 6th, the Central Bank of Kenya, CBK released a list of 19 more licensed Digital Credit Providers (DCPs).
According to the statement released by CBK, this brought the number of accredited DCPs to 51 following the licensing of 32 DCPs announced in March 2023.
CBK added that it had received 480 applications since March 2022 and has worked closely with the applicants in reviewing their applications.
“Additionally, CBK has engaged other regulators and agencies pertinent to the licensing process, including the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner,” a statement from CBK read in part.
