The High Court of Kenya has confirmed Majid Al Futtaim’s supplier agreements, supporting the company’s entitlement to fair administration and nullifying a prior directive that required modifications to these agreements.

This decision, which reinforces Majid Al Futtaim’s right to fair administration, reverses a former mandate that demanded changes to the supplier agreements.

In response to the High Court of Kenya’s recent decision, Majid Al Futtaim expressed gratitude towards the court, recognizing that this judgment essentially validates the current supplier agreements.

Majid Al Futtaim remains dedicated to conducting business with fairness and integrity, collaborating with partners to ensure a sustainable, equitable, and mutually beneficial business environment in accordance with Kenya’s Code of Retail, which the company was proud to help establish.

“Since launching its retail operations in Kenya in 2016, Majid Al Futtaim has been committed to upholding the highest standards of global best practices and implementing standardized commercial terms with local partners. This collaborative effort aims for the mutual success of the Carrefour brand and its suppliers, partners, and stakeholders, while providing exceptional value and affordable prices to customers in Kenya.”
