UBA Group To Commence Full Banking Operations In France

During President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s state visit to France, UBA Group Chairman Tony Elumelu signed a key business agreement with the French Finance Minister, Antoine Armand that will see UBA Group, that has footprints in Kenya start operations in France.

The signing, witnessed by President Tinubu and French President Emmanuel Macron, marks a major step forward for UBA’s banking operations in France. It also shows strong support from the French Government for UBA’s expansion into the country.

“This partnership strengthens our promise of offering seamless international banking services. It will benefit not only the 11 Francophone African countries we serve but also customers in Europe who do business with Africa. Opening operations in France is a natural move for us, with Paris becoming our hub for the European Union. Paris will now join London, New York, and Dubai in our global network as we continue to connect Africa with the world,” said Tony Elumelu.
