Doctors have told the Cabinet Secretary at the Ministry of Health that she will soon find out why some places are called Wamunyoro if she dares slash the salaries of intern doctors, hence not keeping the initial promise made and assured by Deputy President Kithure Kindiki.
In a furious letter signed by the Secretary General of Kenya Medical Practitioners Pharmacists and Dentists’ Union (KMPDU), Dr. Davji Bhimji Atellah, the doctors have issued an ultimatum of up to March 18, 2025 for the demands to be met.

“The choice is now yours (theirs). Honor the agreement or face the full force of a determined and unwavering union. Our rights are not up for negotiation,” said Dr. Davji, furiously.
