KUCCPS Opens Applications For Selected Courses, Deadline, And How To Apply

The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has officially opened its application portal for students interested in pursuing courses in the construction and oil and gas sectors.
In a notice issued on Wednesday, KUCCPS announced that applications are now being accepted for various diploma and certificate programs, with placements available at institutions across the country.
Among the key institutions participating in this intake is the Morendat Institute of Oil and Gas, based in Nairobi, which is offering a range of specialized programs. The courses available at Morendat include:
- Diploma in Environmental Science
- Diploma in Analytical Chemistry
- Diploma in Petroleum Management
- Diploma in Welding and Fabrication
- Certificate in Welding and Fabrication
For students interested in welding and fabrication, KUCCPS has outlined the specific requirements for admission.

Those seeking a Diploma in Welding and Fabrication must have attained a minimum KCSE mean grade of C-, while those applying for the Certificate in Welding and Fabrication must have at least a D grade in KCSE.
Apart from Morendat, the Diploma in Analytical Chemistry is also available in several other technical institutions across the country. These include:
- Alupe University TVET Institute (Busia)
- Bushiangala Technical Training Institute (Kakamega)pEmurua Dikirr Technical Training Institute (Narok)
- Friends College Kaimosi (Vihiga)
- Kabete National Polytechnic (Nairobi)
- Kenya Coast Polytechnic (Mombasa)
- Kisumu Polytechnic
- Kitale National Polytechnic
- Laikipia University TVET Institute (Laikipia)
- Meru University of Science and Technology TVET Directorate
- Meru National Polytechnic (Meru County)
Meanwhile, students interested in Diploma in Petroleum Management have additional study options at:
- Baringo National Polytechnic (Baringo County)
- Ol’lessos Technical Training Institute (Nandi County)
KUCCPS has set the application deadline for these courses as March 20, urging prospective students to submit their applications before the cutoff date.
In addition to technical courses, KUCCPS has also opened applications for placements in Teacher Training Colleges (TTCs) for the September 2025 Intake. The placement portal was officially launched last week, allowing interested applicants to apply for:
- Diploma in Primary Teacher Education
- Diploma in Secondary Teacher Education
While KUCCPS has not specified the number of available slots for these programs, they have confirmed that the application window for TTCs will also close on March 20.

Students interested in any of these programs can apply through the official KUCCPS Student’s Portal. Applicants are encouraged to carefully review the course requirements and ensure they meet the minimum academic qualifications before submitting their applications.
