Prophet Elvis Mbonye Warns Kenya About the Looming Digital ID and CBDC Trap

By Lilian Agaba Nabwebale
Kenya stands as one of Africa’s most remarkable stories of innovation and digital transformation. From the fast-paced energy of Nairobi’s streets to the remotest villages, technology has become woven into the fabric of everyday life. Nowhere is this more evident than in the revolutionary success of M-Pesa, a homegrown innovation that transformed global perceptions of what is possible in financial inclusion. Long before the world’s major economies even conceived of digital wallets, Kenya had already built a thriving mobile money ecosystem that allowed millions to send, receive, and store value with unmatched ease.
This ingenuity emerged from local creativity, necessity, and resilience. It is the Kenyan adaptive, bold, and solutions-oriented spirit that turned a simple mobile phone into a banking tool, a business enabler, and a social safety net. Kenya is also full of a youthful population, vibrant in tech hubs like Silicon Savannah, and a culture that embraces experimentation. This has positioned the nation as a continental leader in digital progress. This dynamism is a divine gift and a national strength that, when guarded with discernment, can lead to true transformation. But it must also be protected from exploitation, for the same innovation that has made Kenya a global example can easily be co-opted into systems that undermine the very freedom it has created.
Kenya finds itself at a critical juncture, having been specifically named in a prophetic revelation concerning a new global system of control.
On 7th January 2025, a prophetic word from Prophet Elvis Mbonye revealed an alarming globalist agenda, poised to be unleashed. Its primary strategy was declared to be financial, and its chosen mechanisms are Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs) and integrated Digital ID systems. The prophecy explicitly named Kenya, Nigeria, and Ghana as nations that global planners had marked as “ripe” and “ready” for a rapid rollout.
The subsequent fulfillment of this word began almost immediately in the United Kingdom, just as was foretold in the same prophecy. The UK launched its ‘Digital Pound’ initiative and a parallel push for a national Digital ID, confirming the prophetic insight that these systems are two parts of a single whole. The same force driving this agenda in the West is now intently focused on Africa, with Kenya in its sights.
This is a solemn warning to the nation of Kenya. Firstly, this system is designed for control, not convenience. Do not be deceived by promises of financial inclusion or efficiency. The prophetic insight clearly revealed that this plan is intended for bondage and is from hell. Its ultimate goal is to establish a comprehensive system of surveillance and control, where your God-given right to work, travel, save, and transact becomes subject to a digital permission slip that can be revoked by a central authority at any time.
Secondly, this is preparing for a financial hold. A CBDC is unlike the mobile money platforms like M-Pesa. It is a programmable currency, meaning those who control the system can dictate what you can buy, where you can spend your money, and can even impose expiration dates on your value. It is the ultimate tool for societal manipulation and oppression.
The label of “ripe” applied to Kenya is a trap. Global planners see Kenya’s innovative spirit and dynamic digital economy as an opportunity to be co-opted. Progress in this case is a gateway to ensnare the population in a global system of digital subjection. It intends to manipulate Kenya’s strengths into a critical vulnerability.
Look to the fulfillment now unfolding in the UK. The UK Prime Minister, Kier Starmer, whom the prophecy showed championing this digital push, is now mired in scandal, and his political future is in grave doubt, exactly as the prophet saw him “fall off a cliff.” Furthermore, there is a significant and growing public backlash in Britain against Digital ID, with popular support collapsing. Senior figures are now publicly vowing to resist the CBDC model with statements like “over my dead body.” The same spiritual resistance that is causing this agenda to falter in the West is available to Kenya.
The call to Kenya is therefore unequivocal. To the government and the Central Bank, this path demands firm caution: it is imperative to go slow, stop, and reconsider. The nation must not become a willing domino in a pre-ordained evil scheme. The mounting backlash in Europe and the UK should be a lesson to protect the sovereignty and financial freedom of the Kenyan people. True financial innovation is measured by the economic sovereignty it grants the individual, not the control it grants a central authority.
Kenya, please awaken. Educate your communities on the true nature of the threat posed by CBDCs and a mandatory Digital ID. Do not trade your divinely granted liberty for a digital chain. The word of the Lord has been clear that this plan is not of God but a strategy from the enemy to bring nations into subjugation. Kenya, you have been named in the spirit. You have now been warned. Do not run with this agenda. The same God who is exposing and confounding these plans abroad is mighty to do so in Kenya, through the courageous actions of His people.
Choose freedom, sovereignty, and the blessing of God over the bondage of man.
“Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.” – 2 Corinthians 3:17
