BCG Strengthens East Africa Operations Through Senior Leadership Appointments

Boston Consulting Group has strengthened its East Africa operations through senior leadership appointments that deepen the firm’s sector expertise and regional leadership capacity. As part of this strategy, Thomas Jensen, Managing Director & Senior Partner and Henok Eyob, Managing Director & Partner have recently transferred to the firm’s Nairobi office, underscoring BCG’s ongoing commitment to building leadership depth across the region.
Thomas Jensen is a core member of BCG’s Consumer and Retail practice and has over the years held many global leadership position in the practice and our region. Now based in Nairobi, he will take over the leadership of our consumer topic in Africa, supporting clients across East Africa and the continent.
Since joining BCG in 2000, Thomas has helped leading international grocery and specialty retailers transform their businesses. He is a deep expert in customer centric category management, omni-channel retail strategy, and is a firm believer in an efficient, cost competitive operating model as a foundation. He has also led several of our global flagship programs on digital/AI transformation in consumer.
Thomas said: “I am pleased to be expanding my work in East Africa and to support our clients from Nairobi. Henok Eyob brings extensive experience in strategy execution, organisational transformation, and large-scale change. While he has deep expertise in consumer industries, his work spans healthcare, retail, and financial services sectors, where he has advised leading organisations on improving performance and delivering complex transformations. Since joining BCG in 2015, Henok has spent more than a decade partnering with senior leaders to build the capabilities, governance, and alignment required to achieve results and sustain change over time.
