LG WashTower Passes 3.2 Million Sales Mark

LG Electronics (LG) has announced that it has sold more than 3.2 million units of its LG WashTower™ all-in-one laundry solution over the past six years. The WashTower integrates a washer and dryer into a single, space-saving unit, featuring LG’s core technologies and a user-centric design.

First launched in 2020, the LG WashTower is now available in 77 countries, including Kenya, where it has gained strong popularity among urban households with limited space. The latest model, the Platinum Black 13/10Kg TurboWash™360, is currently retailing at a discounted price of KSh 307,995, representing a 26 percent reduction from its regular price of KSh 388,995.

The LG WashTower’s performance is powered by proprietary technologies, including Artificial Intelligence Direct Drive™ (AI DD™) and DUAL Inverter HeatPump™. AI DD™ detects load weight, fabric type and soil level, then automatically selects the optimal washing pattern to deliver effective cleaning while minimizing fabric damage. Meanwhile, the DUAL Inverter Heat Pump enables low-temperature drying that is gentle on garments and linens.

These core technologies are complemented by intelligent features such as AI Wash and Smart Pairing™, which allows the washer to communicate with the dryer and automatically select the most suitable drying cycle. The “Prepare to Dry” function further enhances convenience by preheating the dryer before the wash cycle ends, helping to reduce overall laundry time.

Building on these features, LG plans to expand its laundry lineup by introducing new models with enhanced AI features and additional color options to meet a wider range of user needs and preferences.
