The latest industry data highlights the tech giant’s continued leadership in a highly competitive and rapidly evolving segment driven by performance-focused gamers.

According to the International Data Corporation (IDC), Samsung captured 18.9% of the global gaming monitor market by revenue, underlining its strong foothold in high-performance display technology [3]. The company also maintained its leadership in the OLED gaming monitor category for the third straight year, securing a 26% market share [3].

Samsung attributes its sustained success to a strategy centered on innovation and strategic partnerships. Hun Lee, Executive Vice President of the Visual Display Business, noted that collaborations with game studios and a clear technology roadmap continue to shape the company’s offerings, ensuring gamers receive high-performance, immersive experiences.

The brand’s influence extends into the esports arena, with global gaming icon Lee ‘Faker’ Sang-hyeok emphasizing the importance of precision and performance in competitive gaming, and expressing confidence in Samsung’s future innovations.

Samsung recently showcased its latest advancements at the Game Developers Conference (GDC) 2026 in San Francisco, unveiling its 2026 Odyssey lineup. The new range features cutting-edge technologies such as glasses-free 3D, HDR10+ GAMING, and ultra-high refresh rates.

Key highlights include a 27-inch glasses-free 3D monitor with advanced eye-tracking, a 32-inch 4K QD-OLED display with 240Hz refresh rate, and an industry-first 6K gaming monitor supporting up to 330Hz in Dual Mode. The lineup also features a 1,040Hz esports monitor, pushing the boundaries of motion clarity and responsiveness.

Samsung’s continued investment in next-generation display technology signals its intent to remain at the forefront of the gaming industry, as demand for immersive and high-performance gaming experiences continues to grow.
