Family Bank Targets Kenyan SMEs With Family Afya

Family Bank Limited, through its subsidiary Family Bank Bancassurance Intermediary (FBBI), has unveiled Family Afya, a comprehensive health insurance solution designed to make quality healthcare more accessible and affordable for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) and retail customers.

Family Afya offers comprehensive medical cover tailored to the needs of individuals, families and businesses, with benefits including inpatient and outpatient care, maternity, dental and optical cover, as well as cover for chronic illnesses, including cancer, at an affordable cost.

According to data from the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics, SMEs employ nearly 78% of Kenya’s working population, yet an estimated 81% of Kenyans remain without health insurance coverage, underscoring the significant healthcare protection gap facing many workers and their families.
