Hermosa Paints Engages Coast Painters, Contractors in Five-Town Trade Tour

Hermosa Paints engaged professional painters, contractors, artisans and hardware stakeholders across five towns along the Coast through a multi-town trade engagement programme designed to strengthen technical knowledge, improve product application practices and create closer links between paint manufacturers and professionals in the construction and finishing industry.

The Mombasa Painters Mega Meet took place in Voi, Malindi, Mombasa, Kilifi and Diani, bringing practical demonstrations, technical discussions and industry engagement closer to painters and contractors operating across the region.

The initiative seeks to address some of the practical challenges encountered by painting professionals, particularly in coastal environments where high humidity, moisture exposure and salt-laden air can affect surface preparation, paint application and the durability of finished surfaces.

Through the engagements, participants will have an opportunity to interact with technical representatives, discuss appropriate product selection and application techniques, and share experiences from projects undertaken in different coastal environments.

Speaking ahead of the tour, a Hermosa Paints representative said closer engagement with painters and contractors is important in improving industry knowledge and understanding the challenges faced by professionals on the ground.

“Painters are at the centre of the finishing process, and their experience provides valuable insight into the challenges that come with different surfaces, environments and projects. Through this engagement, we want to create a platform for practical knowledge sharing while listening to the professionals who work with these products every day,” the representative said.

The programme featured live surface application demonstrations, technical sessions and interactive engagements with painters and contractors. Participants will also have opportunities to network with other industry professionals and engage directly with Hermosa Paints representatives.

The tour featured Eric Omondi, Brand Ambassador for Hermosa Paints, who will participate in the various engagements through meet-and-greet sessions, interactive activities and entertainment.

The Mombasa engagement on 12th August will serve as the main hub event and will bring together painters, contractors, hardware stockists and other stakeholders from across the coastal construction and finishing sector.

The initiative will also provide an opportunity for Hermosa Paints to receive direct feedback from trade professionals on product application, market needs and the challenges affecting painters and contractors working in the region.
