The Nairobi Burger Week Is Here, What Is Your Schedule?

If you love burgers, or you just love an excuse to try new restaurants, clear your calendar. Nairobi Burger Week is back for 2026, and this time it’s bigger than ever.
What exactly is Nairobi Burger Week?
Put simply, it’s a 10-day, city-wide food party organized by Eat Out Kenya, the restaurant discovery platform many Nairobians already use to figure out where to eat.
From 27th August to 6th September 2026, restaurants across the city will roll out special burger offers, dining experiences, and creative menu takes, all designed to get people out exploring parts of Nairobi’s food scene they might not have tried yet.
The festival officially kicks off on 26th August at Art Caffe Rhapta Road, and this year it’s pulling in an eye-popping number of participants: over 400 restaurants and food brands across the city.
Why a whole week for burgers?
Because Nairobi’s relationship with the burger has quietly gotten interesting. Walk into different spots around the city, and you’ll find everything from no-frills classics to elevated, premium versions and burgers with a distinctly local twist. Burger Week takes that variety and puts it on one shared stage, giving people a reason to try something new instead of defaulting to the same three restaurants they always order from.
It also plays into something that’s already happening organically — Nairobians love recommending restaurants to each other. Group chats, Instagram stories, word of mouth: that culture of discovery is exactly what the festival is built around.
What’s in it for diners?
Quite a lot, actually. Over the 10 days, you can:
- Explore 400+ participating restaurants and brands
- Sample a huge range of burger styles and experiences
- Check out places you’ve been meaning to visit but never got around to
- Return to old favourites for their Burger Week specials
- Stumble on a few hidden gems along the way
- Join in on activations and events tied to the campaign
Everything- the participating restaurants, their offers, and where to find them- will be listed on Eat Out’s website and Instagram page.
Why this year feels different
The headline number says it all: 400+ restaurants is a serious scale-up, spanning neighbourhoods and dining categories across Nairobi. But according to Eat Out, this isn’t just about celebrating the burger itself. It’s about using that shared love of a good burger to nudge people toward exploring the city’s food culture more broadly, and giving independent restaurants, newer kitchens, and smaller chefs a genuine shot at being discovered.
That’s really the bigger idea behind Eat Out’s approach. Nairobi’s hospitality scene is packed with talent, but visibility is often the hardest part, especially for businesses that don’t have big marketing budgets behind them. Burger Week is designed to close that gap a little, connecting diners looking for their next favourite spot with restaurants that deserve the attention.
The partners making it happen
A festival at this scale doesn’t run on burgers alone. Nairobi Burger Week 2026 is backed by a lineup of partners covering food, drinks, delivery, transport, and payments:
- EABL brings draft beer pairings to complement festival burgers at participating venues.
- Cheese Love & Kenafric (Kingsmill) are supporting kitchens with promotional pricing on ingredients as they build out their Burger Week menus.
- Clique is giving restaurants access to discounted products to help them manage operations during the busy stretch.
- Uber Eats and Glovo are handling the at-home experience, with exclusive discounts and delivery promotions.
- Uber is offering up to 50% off rides to and from participating restaurants.
- Safaricom M-PESA is rewarding diners with instant airtime for paying via M-PESA at participating spots.
- Coca-Cola rounds out the beverage side of the partnership network.
How to get involved
There’s no ticket to buy or app to download. Just head to the Eat Out website or the Eat Out Kenya Instagram page to browse participating restaurants and see what offers are running near you, then go eat.
Whether you’re chasing the perfect smash burger, a loaded gourmet stack, or something with a distinctly Kenyan spin, Nairobi Burger Week 2026 is handing you 10 days and 400+ reasons to explore the city one bite at a time.
