Education stakeholders warn that waiting until the last few days almost always backfires. As deadlines close in, the portals tend to slow down under the weight of thousands of last-minute applicants, and rushed submissions are more likely to come in incomplete or riddled with errors.

For students hoping to join a university, a TVET institution, or a teacher training college, KUCCPS remains the only official gateway for course selection and placement. Applicants are being urged to take their time going through available programmes, double-check that they actually meet the entry requirements, and get their choices submitted well before the portal shuts.

The same urgency applies on the funding side. Students banking on government scholarships, loans or bursaries need to get their HELB applications in early; for many, that funding is the only thing standing between them and tuition fees they simply can’t afford otherwise.

Parents haven’t been left out of the equation either. They’re being asked to step in and make sure their children have everything sorted: ID details, academic certificates, and any other documents needed to back up funding applications.
