KNEC Releases KCSE And KJSEA Exam Reports, Marking Schemes

Schools, teachers and learners now have access to a fresh batch of official examination materials after the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) released the 2025 KCSE and KJSEA feedback reports, together with question papers and marking schemes.
The 2025 KCSE Examination Feedback Reports come in four volumes: Languages; Mathematics and Sciences; Humanities; and Technical and Creative Arts. Each volume breaks down how candidates performed across various subjects, giving teachers a clearer picture of where learners struggled and where they excelled in last year’s exam.
A similar set of reports has been published for the KJSEA, this time spread across three volumes: Languages; Sciences and Pre-technical Mathematics; and Humanities, Creative Arts and Sports.
Subjects covered range from English, Kiswahili and Kenya Sign Language to Mathematics, Integrated Science, Agriculture, Pre-Technical Studies, Social Studies, CRE, IRE, HRE, and Creative Arts and Sports.
Beyond the feedback reports, KNEC has also put out the actual 2025 KCSE question papers and marking schemes for the same four subject clusters. Teachers looking to compare against previous sittings will also find the 2024 KCSE papers and marking schemes on offer, useful for revision purposes.
Younger learners haven’t been left out either. KNEC has released both the 2025 and 2024 KPSEA question papers, complete with answers to the objective sections, alongside the 2025 KJSEA assessment papers and their accompanying marking schemes, adding to the growing pool of resources schools can draw from.
The timing of these releases lines up with early preparations for the 2026 national examinations. The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has already started the process of identifying teachers who might serve as Centre Managers, Supervisors and Invigilators for the upcoming exam cycle.
As reported earlier, Curriculum Support Officers are currently liaising with Heads of Institutions to gather the names of suitable teachers for entry into KNEC’s CP2 online deployment system.
Sub-County Directors of Education have been told to ensure this data entry is completed by the end of September. Interested buyers can get the publications from the KNEC Bookshop in Nairobi, with prices generally falling between Ksh950 and Ksh1,550 depending on the specific publication and volume.
