KCB to Discontinue Old Mobile Banking App on October 15

KCB Bank Kenya will discontinue its old mobile banking application effective Thursday, October 15, 2026, and has urged customers to upgrade to the new KCB Mobile Banking App to continue accessing mobile banking services.
In a customer notice, the bank said the change would take effect on the stated date, advising users of the old application to switch to the new version to continue enjoying convenient and seamless mobile banking.
“Please be advised that the old KCB Mobile Banking App will be discontinued effective Thursday, 15th October 2026,” the bank said in the announcement.
KCB thanked customers for their continued trust and urged them to transition to the new application ahead of the deadline to maintain access to its mobile banking services.
The announcement comes as banks increasingly rely on digital platforms to deliver services, allowing customers to carry out transactions and manage their accounts remotely without necessarily visiting physical branches.
Customers who still use the old KCB Mobile Banking App are advised to upgrade to the new application before October 15 to avoid potential disruption to their mobile banking experience.
The notice did not specify whether the discontinuation would affect other KCB banking channels, including agency banking, internet banking or services available through physical branches.
